❝ COUPLE SCREWS LOOSE BUT I RUN SMOOTHLY ❞ OPEN. UNIFORM. WOO! It's Saturday afternoon and most kids are out and about doing their artsy things. She knew by now that the art classroom was filled, the studio was packed and the auditorium was littered by theater kids. However, Nina's coached had cancelled on her that day. A bit of a disappointment, really. Nina enjoyed the private lesson she got every week, and looked forward to it. True, she has vocal lessons and musical lessons everyday for at least an hour, but the one on Saturdays were her favourite. They were lengthy, in depth and progressive. It was a real challenge, and Nina craved it. But with rich kids around, she felt like an utter outsider. She didn't have many to go to, so she spent most of her time a lone. For some reason, rich kids were not open to befriending those on scholarship, especially those in the Espoir house. The raggedy house full of poor people, apparently. She hated stereotypes. HATES. From a young age, she wanted to break through those oversimplified statements of herself. Nina created her own image, had her own style and wanted to break your expectations, good or bad. There was no question that things were so different here than back at home. People weren't exactly harmonious and peaceful, and Nina had to learn that on her own. For some peace and quite, she decided to retreat to the library, where she might be sane for a few moments. When she arrived at the front doors of the library, she was immediately hit with the aroma of old books. It was a smell that she wished that she was familiar with. Unfortunately. books are expensive in her world, and were a rare commodity. This school was crazy. It was literally like going to school in a castle. It always reminded her of some kind of sick fairy-tale. Nina made herself comfortable at an empty table and shoved her books out of her messenger bag. Her hair fell out of place and she quickly pushed it back. For the first time in days, she cracked open her science textbook and her notebook. Lately, she hadn't find the patience to actually study for her regular classes. She was too excited about her new vocal lessons that she's finding herself nervous for no reason. She sighed loudly, and began to doodle swirls on her notebook, not really interested in reading the words in her textbook. template by louis |
